ATTENTION!!! YES Nigeria ‘Youth Entrepreneurship Summit’ to empower Start-ups Holds Today!

As part of effort to address the growing rate of youth unemployment in Nigeria in line with the change Mantra of the present administration, Own Boss Magazine will on Tuesday 11 July, hold the third edition of its Youth Entrepreneurship Summit Nigeria (YES Nigeria) at Sheraton hotel Abuja.

Addressing newsmen on Sunday in Abuja, the Chief Executive Officer/ Publisher Irene Ottih said that the summit is aimed at equipping young people with the skills and knowledge to be self-employed by starting and managing their own businesses.

The programme tittled: "Accelerate, Network, Grow your Business," geared towards fostering the growth of entrepreneurship in young minds and creating enabling environment for start-ups to manage and stabilize their business. YES will showcase the existing facilities and support services available to prospective young entrepreneurs to realize their business dreams.

The Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Barr Solomon Dalung will be the Special Guest at the Summit.

YES Nigeria was conceived as a contribution of the magazine to stimulate young people with skills and knowledge to be self-employed by starting and managing their own businesses and also encourage small and medium enterprise (SMEs) to make them viral as the economic backbone of every economy.   

According to Ottih, the will showcase the existing facilities and support services available to prospective young entrepreneurs to realize their business dreams.

She said that the Minister of Youth and Sport, Barr. Solomon Dalong would be the Special Guest at the Summit.

"YES was conceived as a contribution of the magazine to encourage small and medium enterprise SMEs and to make them viral as the economic backbone of every developing economy." 

"The summit will emphasize the combined initiatives of agencies like SMEDAN, NDE, NEFUND, BOI and BOA in creating a holistic ecosystem conducive for young entrepreneurs. YES will also become a platform for young innovators to share their innovative ideas."

"At the event, the final selected innovators/ideas will be rewarded with MAKE MINE A MILLION NAIRA BUSINESS LOAN the event will be a platform for young entrepreneurs to meet with the successful entrepreneur's across the country."

"We will call on our Leaders, Finance Minister, Minister of Trade and Investment and Central Bank Governors to focus on entrepreneurship and agree to implement policies, legislation and incentives to support start-ups and sustainable high growth entrepreneurial SMEs, young entrepreneurs and enhance private sector led growth," the publisher added.

She further stated that the summit would bring together entrepreneurs and businessmen from all over Nigeria to explore business and investment opportunities in different sectors of the economy.
