The event which recorded a comfortable crowd of Abuja residents, showbiz entrepreneurs and political personalities had over 25 contestants who battled it out on the big stage for the coveted tittle of Face Of Democracy Nigeria queen. The Miss Kaduna representative Esther Zamani who dazzled and impressed the judges on stage was crowned the 2016 winner in colourful event.
Though, some award recipients were said to be absent while some were represented. But the sudden withdrawals could not be specifically attributed to the rejection of the award by former Governor of Rivers state, Dr. Peter Odili who publicly turned down the honour.
The new winner who was crowned alongside other five contestants is expected to embark on projects geared towards upholding and celebrating Nigeria\'s democracy. It was reported that the event which had impressive coverage from HIP TV, AIT and other media houses was packaged Fajag Concept LTD and Vivian Lam Glamour Magazine.
