A 19-year-old graduate of Rivers State University, Progress Nbinye Wenedah has emerged winner of Miss Amnesty Nigeria 2018.
The lanky model from Portharcourt City was crowned the winner amongst other contestants in a highly competitive pageant show that attracted high profile personalities including Senator Shehu Sani. The much anticipated event took place on Saturday, 7th April at Sheraton hotels, Abuja.
The colourful event organised by Tracy Mcwary Foundation in conjunction with Presidential Amnesty Programme also honoured distinguished personalities with Amnesty Peace Award. One of the major recipient who led other guests to inspect the exhibition of the contestants was Senator Shenu Sani. He was recognised with Amnesty Peace Award as Human Right Defender.
Abuja based popular comedian and MC Stainless Precious who anchored the pageant show was at his best to ensure the event lived up to its billings with occasional rib-cracking jokes and excellent stage delivery. The event had different presentations from resource persons on Amnesty related issues.
Other winners for the night include:
•A young school leaver, Judith Mbonu 18 Years old,From Anambra State emerged Miss Amnesty Diaspora 2018 (Its Runner up)
•Enugu State University Undergraduate, Chisom Dorcas Obih 24 years old, From Imo State won Miss Amnesty Entrepreneur 2018(2nd runner up)
•21 Year Old, Imo State Polytechnic undergraduate, Precious Uloma Anyanwu from Imo State emerged Miss Amnesty Top Model 2018(3rd runner up)
The blissful event also had the presence of Abuja popular Publicist AlexReports, AbujaPress Publisher, Channels TV, AIT and a host of other media organisations.
