Today, the intellectual warrior behind the revolution of revenue and the taxation sector in Nigeria, Dr. Fowler Babatunde celebrates his birthday, as he turns plus one. The former executive chairman of the Lagos State Board of Internal Revenue and presently the brain behind the gainful explosion in the FIRS is recognised across the globe for his modern innovations in the sector.
Dr. Fowler who was born in August 12, 1956 to the family of Professor (Dr) and (Chief) Mrs. W.V. Fowler both of Lagos State, is heavily celebrated today for his impacts and contributions, especially in the area of raising awareness on tax education in Nigeria. His achievements did put the FIRS in the records as one of the most proactive agencies under the Buhari led administration. However, the presidency has sent its congratulatory goodwill message to Dr. Fowler.
As a charismatic and creative administrator in the taxation industry, he was able to identify innovative channels which yielded gainful achievements for the service, as he utilised the boom in the entertainment industry to raise a massive awareness campaign on tax education and payments for Nigerians.
However, prominent figures in the entertainment industry have also thrown him several congratulatory messages, amongst them is the Founder / President of Face of Democracy Nigeria and CEO Democracy Heroes Awards, Mr. Olufunsho Alexander Ajagbonna popularly known as king Fajag who praised and hailed Dr. Fowler on this remarkable day of his life, stating that the revenue Icon is the biggest achievement which the sector will ever have.
