NOT TOO YOUNG TO RUN: UPP DECLARES FREE FORM FOR ASPIRANTS 

The democratic move to improve youth participation in governance has taken a new path, as UPP declares free nomination/express of interest form for those below 30years.

The decision was reached at the party's NEC meeting in Abuja, after which the BOT members, Vice-Chairman and acting Chairman of UPP visited its IMO governorship candidate, Hon. Tony Nwulu at his residence.

The NEC meeting of UPP engaged the decision in other to ensure that aspirants who have financial difficulties and are below 30years can now get free nomination forms for the federal and state house of assembly. This decision is in line with the constitutional provisions of "Not too young to run bill".

According to Hon. Tony Nwulu, while reacting to the decision of the party, through his instagram handle, he stated that the UPP decision is a visionary approach to sustain the provisions of "Not To Young to Run Bill". He stressed that the cut down on nomination/ expression of interest fee is an innovative position which the creative UPP has taken a lead to establish in Nigeria.

 However, the intelligent move by the party has boosted the demand from aspirants and prospective leaders into the party as buttressed on page of IMO leading guber candidate "na dem set rush UPP'


UPP also stated that the previous nomination/expression of interest fee for all categories has been slashed. Stating that the previous governorship fee which was 5million is now 3million, Senatorial aspirant which was formerly 1million, and now five hundred thousand, the federal and state assembly aspirant fee has been dropped to 200 thousand and 50 thousand respectively.

This expression by UPP has created a platform for credible Nigerians to aspire into elective positions. However, youths in IMO state has applauded the declaration by UPP, as they referred it to an unchallengeable move which no party in Nigeria has made.

In furtherance of equality with those who are physically challenged, the party made all categories free for every aspirant who is physically challenged.
