Anambra guber: Nwoye Challenges Obiano To A Debate, Accuse him of Siphoning LGA Funds

The APC Guber candidate, Hon. Tony Nwoye has challenged the sitting governor of Anambra and APGA candidate Chief Willie Obiano to a debate to discuss Obiano's siphoning of local government funds since his emergence as governor.

Nwoye said this whilst speaking at a radio programme, Citizens Forum on Sapientia FM where he exposed how Obiano had siphoned over 300,000,000 Million Naira.

Nwoye, who is the APC candidate pointed out how local government funds were been misused and siphoned despite the fact that the government had received more funds in the last four years than all it had received in the past 10 years preceeding it. He debunked the attempts by the present day administration to use the excuse of recession as reasons for its under- performance.

"I challenge Obiano to a debate on the issue of local government funds, I have documents in my possession showing details of the inflow of such funds, recession never tampered with the flow of such funds. What we have is that Obiano through a stooge of his, Tony Oli, who comes from the same village with him, as secretary of the JAAC to siphone such funds."

Tony bemoaned the development that the state ought to have experienced had such funds been properly utilised.

He lampooned the attempts by the APGA led government to sell his 20 million per community projects as achievements stating that with what has accrued to the state, the community projects in the whole of the state did not amount to 6 percent of the whole LGA funds received.
