GOV. OKOROCHA ATTRACT 3.5m Donations, Gifts Houses To Widows

The just concluded August Meeting at IMO state has witnessed several donations and life changing supports for women in the state. The state governor, HE Gov. Rochas Anayo Okorocha graced the ceremony with life touching donations that triggered several contributions from well meaning Imolites to those who are in difficult situations.

In furtherance of the charity gestures of the state Governor at the ceremony, he triggered 3.5million donations from several people who were moved by the sympathetic condition of a woman, who was also gifted a two bedroom flat. The indigent aged woman was soaked in abject poverty and several health related challenges. The extension of love to this fortunate poor woman triggered other donations well prominent personalities at the event.

The 2018 ceremony of Imo August Meeting displayed the true significance of sharing cultural values, as it emphasized on supports and recognition for IMO women who are faced with great challenges. The Govenor in his benevolent nature gave out three bedroom bungalows to each winners in the raffle draw, which was conducted at the event.

The ceremony which was organised by the wife of the state Governor, Nkechi Rochas, was in view of the governors interest and support for the less privileged women in the state. Stating that her visionary engagements and strenghts in humanity and charity works would not be weakened.

However, in the keynote address by the special guest of honour, the wife of the president, who has represented by the Vice president's wife, Dr. Dolapo Osinbajo, she encouraged IMO women to tenaciously pray for the leaders of our nation, so as lead and govern the people with the fear of God. She called on young women to be vessels of transformation and reconciliation in our nation. The ceremony had the presence of wives of the state Governors, which included states like Edo, Cross River, Delta state, Abia and Enugu state.
