NGOs SET TO MARK INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL CHILD, HOLD INTERACTIVE SESSION WITH FGGC STUDENTS

In view of the forthcoming October 11th global celebration of the International Day of the Girl Child, a non governmental organization called the Rose John Foundation has collaborated with FCT Sexual and Gender Based Violence Response Secretariate and FGGC Bwari Old Girls Association(BOGA) to host an Interactive Session with students of FGGC Bwari to commemorate the International Day of the Girl Child in Nigeria. 

The one day interactive session will be focused to sensitization for an improved collaboration in the fight against Sexual and Gender Based Violence, whilst promoting girl child education in Nigeria and across the globe. The campaign and interaction will commence at 10am prompt at FGGC Bwari Auditorium on the 11th of October, 2019.

The International Day of the Girl Child is celebrated worldwide to raise awareness and collective contributions to the challenging issues surrounding girl child education especially in rural areas and in the hinterlands. The campaign, according to experts is white paramount especially across underdeveloped countries and developing countries across the world.

According to Organisers of the Interactive Session with Students of FGGC Bwari, they noted that the International Day of the Girl Child is a campaign that require more local attention and international intervention. The aim is to protect and promote the Girl Child as an agent of positive change.
