Accord Party chieftain, Iheme carpets rumour mongers, says Maduka man of sound integrity

Accord Party stalwart in Anambra, Mazi Obinna Iheme has taken a swipe at people he described as rumour mongers, saying their nefarious intention is to incite the loving people of  Anambra against the candidate of the party in the just concluded election, Dr. Godwin Maduka.

He said the rumour is not just false but a figment of imagination of of authors, insisting that Maduka as an intimidating political force has come to stay in Anambra urging the people to ignore to open and shameless lies targeted at maligning Dr. Maduka whom he says gives rumour peddlers a sleepless night.

In a statement in Awka on Monday, Mazi Iheme maintained that Dr. Maduka has through hard work and commitment carved a niche for himself as one of the most respected medical practitioners across the world.

He further added that his philanthropic gestures, a product of his hard works and years of sleepless nights has earned him more love among the people of Anambra, South East and the country at large.

"It is worrisome the level at which some unscrupulous elements can go in impugning the character of an innocent man whose only offence is to frantically seek to liberate his people from the shackles of perennial bad governance.

"More vexatious, the same elements who have been benefiting from the highly unbalanced system that has pauperised our people will stop at nothing to ensure that a man with record of honour and enviable character will not emerge.

"The stars of Maduka will shine for the benefit of ndi Anambra. All Accord Party faithful should ignore the rumours flying round as it remains a product of lies from the pit of hell. No scintilla of truth in it.

"It stands as an open advertisement of how wounded they are that Maduka is emerging from the rubbles of a mischievously shewed election to occupy his pride of place in the leadership of Anambra.

"This we are committed to achieving and no distraction can stop us" he said.
