Governorship Election: Anambra APGA Chairman Norbert Obi Commends Ndi Anambra For Giving Party, Soludo Overwhelming Victory

 

The Anambra State Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Sir Norbert Obi has commended Ndi Anambra and residents of the state for their resilience and determination in protecting the future of the state and democracy during the recent governorship election.


Speaking in Awka, Sir Norbert described the victory of APGA and Governor elect Professor Chukwuma Soludo as a triumph for Ndi Anambra and people of conscience.

Sir Norbert noted that the emergence of Professor Soludo would ensure continuity in governance to consolidate on remarkable achievements of Governor Willie Obiano to maintain a high tempo of growth and development.


He commended the Independent National Electoral Commission for providing level playing ground for free, fair and credible election and the various security agencies for living up to expectations by upholding professionalism in their conduct throughout the exercise.


In his reaction, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor On Security Matters, Mr Ostar Christopher said the victory of APGA in the election showed that people of the state can achieve a lot with determination in spite of obvious challenges.


Mr Christopher noted that the state would witness accelerated development in all sectors of the economy as the incoming administration would build on what is on ground while expanding interventions in other areas with innovations, pointing out that Governor Obiano’s numerous achievements and legacy projects have provided a springboard for the Governor elect to leverage on and take the State to desired destination.


He urged Southeast States to embrace APGA as a political platform that would give them stronger bargaining power in national affairs.


Also speaking, the Special Assistant to Governor Willie Obiano on Science and Technology,  Ministry of Basic Education, Chief Raymond Uchebo   observed that the election was peaceful, credible and a clear statement by the people on what they wanted, noting that with another APGA administration, the state would continue to reap dividends of democracy and good governance.


Chief Uchebo extolled Governor Obiano, APGA National Chairman Chief Victor Oye, the Governor elect Professor Soludo and the entire APGA family for their dogged fight to win the election.
