Over two decades after graduation, the 2001 set of Government Secondary School Gwagwalada Abuja has began moves to reunite and reconnect with old school mates.
The move was initiated by one of the vibrant members of the set, now Mrs. Lucy with support from few other old school mates.
This she commenced with the creation of a WhatsApp group which at the moment has over 90 members of same set.
This move has continued to garner support as members applaud the effort which they believe will reignite their friendship and build fence of closeness.
A member of the set, Mr. Boodoguy said he has looked forward to an opportunity to meeting members of the set after 21 years since leaving the prestigious academic institution.
The 2001 set is said to be one of the best graduating sets in the history of the school with an excellent academic performance which reflected in their grading.
They are also said to have a vibrant and coordinated leadership and cordial relationship with the management of the school while their academic pursuit lasted.
A good number of them have also graduated from the higher institutions and doing well in their various fields of endeavour.
The 2001 set has produced notable entrepreneurs, politically exposed persons, entertainers, businessmen and successful members of the society.
The physical meeting is expected to take place in the third quarter of the year in Abuja amidst recollection of old memories, fun and excitement.
