3rd National Entertainment And Peace Summit: Letter Of Invition And Award Nomination

The Drum Majors for Peace a formost advocacy organisation where creativity is harnessed to promote positive values announces the third edition of her annually organised and internationally recognised NATIONAL ENTERTAINMENT AND PEACE SUMMIT in commemoration of the International Day of Peace, 2022, tagged: END RACISM. BUILD PEACE, with focus on: GOOD LEADERSHIP AND PEACE AGENDA: THE ROLE OF ENTERTAINMENT AND CREATIVE INDUSTRY, scheduled to take place as follows:

DATE: Tuesday, 20th September, 2022

VENUE: Ladi Kwali International Conference Hall, Sheraton Hotel, Wuse Abuja.

TIME: 11 am prompt.

The summit is very timely as the creative industry shall gather to contribute their quota in the promotion of peace before, during and after the forthcoming general elections especially now that the country is faced with all forms of challenges ranging from insecurity, kidnapping and all forms of agitation that suggests disintegration.


The Argument of the theme:

The black Nigerians abroad want to come home, because of Racism.

The black Nigerians abroad do not want to come home, because of bad government and corruption in Nigeria.

If there is good leadership and good government, there will be no racism, because every black person will be content in their country

And if every black Nigerian is content in their own country, Nigeria will develop in no distance time to a world power level.


Briefing news men, the Executive Director of the organisation Amb. Nsikan Paul explains that the Objectives of the Summit

is to strengthen the ideals of peace by galvanizing support for promotion of the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG: 16) (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions)


To promote unity, social cohesion and creative empowerment, especially now that the country is battling with issues ranging from unemployment, insecurity, religious intolerance, and all forms of agitations that suggest disintegration. 


To promote open-mindedness for acceptance of the difference among gender, race, and territories.


The Summit brings together entertainers, stakeholders, youth groups, thought leaders, religious leaders, businessmen, artisans, government agencies and civil society organizations to use the instrumentality of entertainment and creative industry to drum the message of peace, reconciliation, tolerance and social cohesion in our fragile social fabric.


The release urges all members of the public to support and participate in the epoch-making event.
