Greetings my Imo brethren!
I bring to you, great news! IMO MUST BE TRANSFORMED FOR THE GREATEST GOOD OF ALL!!
The news I bring to you is God-sent. It is a great news like no other to the people of Imo State, and to Nigeria at large. Since His Excellency, Late Governor Samuel Onunaka Mbakwe vacated the Douglas house in Owerri from October 1, 1979, to December 31, 1983, Imo people have been waiting for 40 years for another Mbakwe.
That long-awaited great news is that finally, God has answered the prayers of all Imo people, by solemnly, meticulously, and transcendentally identifying, and choosing Attorney Dr. Charles Chibuike Onyirimba to run for the Governorship of Imo State under the umbrella of the Labour Party of Nigeria, whose Presidential Candidate is the Obedient Citizen, Dr. Peter Obi.
My Dear Imo people, it is inspiring that Atty. Onyirimba inspite of all odds has volunteered himself to take up the herculean task of leading the eventual TRANSFORMATION OF IMO STATE by throwing his hat into the Gubernatorial race for Imo Governorship come October or November 2023.
This news is critically important because Onyirimba is the only aspirant out there WHOSE INTEREST FOR ALL IMO PEOPLE IS GENUINE AND PURPOSEFUL.
Most of other aspirants out there are in the race for selfish reasons. Charles Onyrimba is not a man of failed promises. He is an action-oriented-pragmatist.
What the OBEDIENT SON AND CITIZEN, DR. PETER OBI IS TO NIGERIA, ATTORNEY DR. CHARLES CHIBUIKE ONYIRIMBA IS TO IMO STATE!
My people of Imo, ONYIRIMBA is ready to take on this herculean task of restoring peace to the land and engineer a new economic growth in the Igbo heartland. Where there is no peace economic activity cannot thrive. Onyirimba will restore peace, Unity and harmony in Imo State as a catalyst for Imo Transformation.
And so, my brethren, let us stop for a minute and for a moment, reflect on this impromptu Quiz:
Who is the man named Charles Chibuike Onyirimba. When this name is mentioned around you, what comes to your mind?
EARLY LIFE
To me, what first comes to my mind when I hear the now household name: Attorney Charles Chibuike Onyirimba is a man destined to TRANSFORM IMO STATE FROM THIS AGE-LONG CONTINUED PREMORDAL STATUS TO A MODERN DEVELOPED FIRST-CLASS STATE OF WHICH, WE ALL HAVE YEARNED FOR IN THE PAST 40 YEARS.
Atty. Onyirimba hails from Ehime Mbano Local Government Area from the kindred of Umudike Umuduruegwelle Umueze 11.
Charles Onyirimba was raised and soundly groomed among eight other siblings by his respected school headmaster father and school teacher mother. As school teachers, Charles parents moved from one Imo community to another teaching and raising children. Charles was born while his parents were living at Umuewere in Ngo Okpala. His early childhood was at St James Anglican Church of Ihitteaforukwu in Ahiazu Local Government Area.
Charles parents traversed through many Imo communities with their children moving from one community to another thereby understanding the traditional and cultural norms of most Imo communities. This local understanding will form part of the critical mass needed to form a cohesive government in a Charles Onyirimba administration. Knowing Imo Political, cultural and social landscape is crucial in forging a new Imo State. Atty Onyirimba has it as he refers to himself as a " village boy".
LEAVING THE SHORES OF NIGERIA
Onyirimba attended basic elementary school at Central School Umueze 11 and secondary education at Madonna High School in Ihitte Uboma Local Government Area. He attended Government College Umuahia for his Higher School Certificate.
Upon completing his foundational education in Nigeria, and having been greatly groomed in the Nigerian national life, psych, politics, and ways of life in Igboland, in 1981, he left our Nigerian shores and sailed to the United States of America to further his education.
At the famous Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma – a university of 3 campuses of which its main campus in Stillwater, numbered a population of about 27,000 students with a combined student population of over 40,000, he enrolled in his BSC degree and graduated in Political Science and Mass Communication in 1984 - early University training and groomed skills that today show in his social, political, and other interactions with people of the world.
While at Oklahoma State University, Charles tried his hands at international leadership and was a success at that. He organized both African and Nigerian students at the University and became the leader of the African Students Association. He was able to organize Nigerian Students, who at the time were commuting from Oklahoma State University to Montgomery Alabama State University to meet with the University's Nigerian Student's body with the sole aim of putting together strategies that would help the Government of General Buhari and Idiagbon.
Charles would progress to become the President of the International Students Association, an association of close to 30 nations, to becoming the first black African to vie for the post of the President of the Oklahoma Students Union Government; a feat no African student before him had been able to accomplish up until that time.
HIS QUEST FOR LEGAL EDUCATION and PRACTICE OF LAW
Beyond his Bachelor's degree education at Oklahoma, in 1984, Charles Onyirimba was admitted into the College of Law, University of Florida in Gainesville Florida where he pursued his law school education, and by 1987, he graduated with a Doctor of Jurisprudence (JD).
Atty Onyirimba subsequently received a Doctor of Philosophy from the Covenant Christian University in Atlanta Georgia.
As a lawyer, Atty Charles Onyirimba had worked for the Florida State Department of Environmental Regulations. He had worked hand in hand with the government of Nigeria under the leadership of General Ibrahim Babangida to stop using Nigeria as s dumping ground for international refuse and bad oil waste.
After his first departmental civil service with the Florida State Government, he relocated to Atlanta Georgia, where he practiced law as a Trial lawyer and a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association as well as the Georgia Bar Association, and the American Inns of Courts Foundation.
FOUNDATION OF ORGANIZATIONS AND RECEPTION OF SOME EMINENT PERSONALITIES
Charles would later, meticulously, and methodically team with other progressives to found in 1994, the now famous World Igbo Congress and at the same time, started his Law Firm in Atlanta, Georgia.
Moving, therefore, from his base in Atlanta Georgia, Atty Onyirimba would become the President of the Igbo Union, and elevated the Union to begin capturing the Igbo culture very pertinent to Ndi-Igbo by creating the Magazine, Ogene that speaks for the Igbo Union. He became the President of the Igbo Union, Atlanta branch, USA. He then moved ahead to lay the foundations for the launching of the Igbo Cultural Center in Atlanta.
While still in Atlanta, Georgia, Atty Onyrimba facilitated and hosted the arrival to Atlanta of some notable Nigerian leaders and politicians, which included His Excellency, Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, Ikemba 1 of Nnewi and Eze Igbo Gburugburu, Chief Ezife, former Governor of Anambra state, General Yakubu Gowon not excluding His Excellency, Chief Sam Mbakwe – first civilian governor of old Imo State.
Atty Onyirimba's accolades and pedigrees are endless!
During the US, Atlanta Olympics of 1996, Atty Onyirimba was not only conferred with the honorary title of Nigeria's Consul in Atlanta, Georgia but also appointed the Chairperson of the Nigerian Olympic Reception Committee in Atlanta.
Back in 1999 Atty Onyirimba set out to put in place the African American Lawyers Association in Atlanta, Georgia, and thereafter became the organization's first President.
In 2016, Atty Onyirimba founded the Nigerian American Lawyers in the USA called the NIGERIAN AMERICAN BAR ASSOCIATION (NABA) and became its first President. Onyrimba has featured in dozens of organizations as both founder and chair person of the board of directors.
He was the publisher of the famous African Quest magazine and producer of African Quest television in Atlanta Georgia.
Atty Onyirimba rose to become the National President of Imo State Congress of America (the umbrella organization representing Imo State organizations in the US).
HIS QUEST FOR THE SENATE SEAT OF IMO STATE, 2019
Having culled all his exposure, learning, and experiences together, and seeing the need for his services back home, in 2019, Atty. Onyirimba ran for the Senate to represent his people at the federal level. To help fashion out better legislation and plans that would help restore and build new economies for his people. He was the APGA Senate Candidate for Imo North (Okigwe zone) in both the 2019 and 2020 Senate elections.
My Dear People of Imo, here is the good part of our preferred aspirant; Onyirimba has fine-tuned all these skills and long chains of acquired knowledge, skills, and experiences into one collective package that would serve Imo right – the quest and immaculate pursuit of the Governorship of Imo State, come 2023!
In the Onyrimba administration, we will see these meticulously organized managerial and administrative, and creative skills play out as we begin to unmask and unravel the albatrossic challenge of transforming Imo.
Quite frankly, Atty Onyirimba is not impressed that at this eve of the 23rd century, Nigeria at large and Imo are still hundreds of years lagging behind other advanced nations and states when we have all it takes to build "heaven" on earth, at least in Imo. In my private discussions and periodic interactions with Atty Onyirimba, he indicates that those days are over only if you, the IMO PEOPLE can get it right this time by supporting his vision for a TRANSFORMED IMO.
With the terse exposé about the nature of who Atty Onyirimba is as shared above, Imo people need not be told that we have found the right person we have been searching for in the past 40 years to seriously TRANSFORM IMO FOR THE GREATEST GOOD OF ALL!
ATTORNEY CHARLES ONYIRIMBA: THE REDEMPTIONIST! THE LONG-AWAITED MOSES OF OUR TIME – THE PROMISED HOPE FOR IMO STATE
Onyirimba is not a man to criticize past and present Imo Governments. He believes that most leaders operate within the confines of their exposure and understanding. His mantra is that of growing Imo economy and providing massive industrialization as a panacea for eradication of youth unemployment.
Onyirimba believes that with the right technocrats helping him, the wheel of Imo State government will run smoothly and efficiently.
My Dear Imo People, in the face of years of untold injustices, which past administrations meted to you, the citizens and rightful owners of the government of Imo State, knowing this truth, and knowing that there is a better alternative and choice, would you continue to live under this slavish bondage, or would you rather SUPPORT ATTY. CHARLES CHIBUIKE ONYIRIMBA WHO IS NOT HELD HOSTAGE BY ANY GODFATHER OR INTEREST GROUP?
MAKE THE RIGHT DECISION. SUPPORT ATTY ONYIRIMBA
Onyirimba laments the fact that some of our youth who left the shores of Nigeria to either China, Libya, or Saudi Arabia in search of greener pasture quite often meet their untimely demise, when such incidences were totally uncalled for if things were done right in Nigeria and in Imo State in particular.
Look at our schools, both basic, elementary, secondary, and tertiary institutions; look at our hospitals, look at our roads, look at our markets, look at our streets, look at our civil service members, look at the mounting of unpaid salaries, gratuities, retirement benefits, look at the quality of drugs in our markets and drug stores, look at the poor quality of our buildings both in the rural and urban areas, look at the economic development in every one of the 27 local government areas of Imo State, and look at the number of months our UNIVERSITY STUDENTS have been at home because the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) is on STRIKE, and you will see that A DRASTIC CHANGE FOR BETTER GOVERNANCE IS IN DEED NEEDED!
The question is, having seen these truths and injustices, My Dear People of Imo, must we continue to let these current malady continue?
Must we continue to accept these untold failures of "government" when we now have the best alternative to right the untold wrongs? Or must we, together, as an aggrieved and cohesive unit, - a force and movement of the people, the true owners of the machinery and apparatus of government do something to rescue ourselves and TRANSFORM OUR DEAR STATE, IMO?
That DRASTIC CHANGE FOR THE NEEDED, that Panacea needed in Imo State, is in the person of Atty Charles Onyirimba!
Support Charles Onyirimba to get us out of this recycling rot we are in Imo State – year-in, year-out for more than 40 years in a roll!
IMO PEOPLE, ARE YOU NOT TIRED OF THE INJUSTICES AND INEQUITIES IN GOVERNMENT?

Let's Get IT Right this time.
Now, the greatest and holiest book ever read by humans tells us in Mark 4:11 that it is granted to us to understand the secret of God's kingdom, to those that are outside, all is a parable. My dear Imo people, let us open our eyes and understand how God works in a mysterious way. If you ask me, our years of prayers and search for the "right" candidate to take Imo where we have all longed to be as a people has been answered and it has yielded the greatest dividend in the arrival of Atty. Charles Chibuike Onyirimba.
We must be wise to understand and embrace it now that the tide of affairs is in our favor as Shakespeare would finally conclude that "There is a tide in the affairs of men, Which taken at the flood, leads on to fortune.
Imo people, let us take and ride on with this tide in the person of Atty Charles Onyirimba in the affairs of normalizing things, restoring the past glories, and transforming Imo.
We have no other Imo state to go to or to call our own.
For the above reasons, it is important that we do real soul searching and decide on the person to whom support in October/ November 2023 Imo governorship election.
When we think about restoring Imo to her past glories, we mean bringing back the lost and trashed cultural and traditional respect for our elders, our institutions, the rebuilding of our economy, our schools, our hospitals, our roads, our markets, the ensuring that our university students are in schools studying and not at home for upwards of one year because ASSU is on strike, the creation of JOBS for our youth, the TRANSFORMING OF IMO INTO THE TECHNOLOGICAL HUB OF NIGERIA AND AFRICA.
My Dear People of Imo, what I am asking you here to do i.e., – to Choose Atty Charles Chibuike Onyirimba as your next Governor of Imo, is like when Joshua challenged the Israelites to choose between serving the true God and serving false gods: Joshua 24:14-15:
14 "Now fear the LORD and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD.15 But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD."
And so, in concluding, I stand on my earlier and consistent but unwavering submission that "IMO MUST BE TRANSFORMED FOR THE GREATEST GOOD OF ALL AND THERE IS NO ONE PERSON READY AND SO PREPARED TO WALK THE WALK, TALK THE TALK AND GO TO THE GREAT LENGTH TO MAKE IT HAPPEN.
ATTY CHARLES CHIBUIKE ONYIRIMBA IS THE PERSON! LABOUR PARTY IS THE VEHICLE
