The menace of drugs abuse among youths in Nigeria has reached a frightening proportion and it pervades every fibre in the society. There Is a popularly held belief that the youths of any nation are the leaders of tomorrow,They are the vehicles through which positive changes can be realized.
This is why Evergreen Global Initiative tend to invest on the future development of its youths by organizing a seminar via the support of NDLEA ,NAFDAC and Dr Isiaq Abdulwaheed a Lecturer and Entrepreneur. Problems associated with substance abuse and how it can be curbed was deeply discussed , as well as how to avoid distractions, peer group influence ,to be self reliant and to always remain focused in their various fields of study , according to the Convener , Queen Nimat Siaka "Youth when neglected, can find escape and solace in such things as drug abuse, pick-pocketing, loitering, rape , auto-theft etc .
Thereafter ,some students who has already existing businesses with evidence to show were financially supported by the initiative.
