The youthful managing director of lmo state oil producing areas development commission ISOPADEC Hon Andrew Chidi Nwokotubo who doubles as the state felicitetor Imo Consolidation Group (ICG) has stated that it is only Action Alliance (AA) gubernatorial candidate for the march 9th governorship election will sustain the free education policy of Governor Rocha's Okorocha in imo. Speaking to news men and his supporters in his office owerri, Hon. Andrew Chidi Nwokotubo disclosed that in 2011, when Governor Rocha's Okorocha began his Rescue mission campaign for the governorship position of the state, he gave the people a massage of hope that imo must be better. It became both a message and a promise. The people believed both the massage and the messenger because of the impeccable tracks record of the messenger in service to God and humanity. Before his interest for the governorship seat, Rocha's has been a source of blessings to over 150, 000 students/pupils through his free education.
It is on record before his emergence as the governor, the standard of education was nothing to write home about during the last political dispensation. With poor infrastructures and inadequate men power, parents and guardians were paying heavily to train their children and wards. In the past, imo had many dilapidated school buildings and some schools students used mangoes trees as class. Imo state university was among the institutions with highest tuition fees. As if that was not enough, the administration of former governor Ikedi Ohakim increased the fees to 150, 000.
Parents were heavily suffering to train their children and this resulted into high rate of poverty in the state. However, when Rochas Okorocha indicated interest to run for the governorship position, the people were happy, hopeful and heaved a sigh of relief, the reason was simply because of his indisputable tracks records of free and qualitative education to children of the poorest of the poor through his Rochas Foundation Colleges. The masses know that his name rings bell as a man who operates a free education foundation college with visible presence in many states of the country and that alone gave him overwhelming support.
Records have proved that Governor Rochas Okorocha has intimidating score card in the areas of educational sector from 2011 to 2019, it was the 305 model upstairs constructed under his regime. Reports indicated that school enrollment has sporadically increased in both primary and secondary schools from 200,000 to about 800,000, it simply means that those who could no afford to send their children to school due to financial difficulties are now rushing to do so because a reliable and trustworthy leader has provided a dependable opportunity for free and qualitative education in the state. All this reports and records, shows that the Action Alliance (AA) gubernatorial candidate have been part of the Rescue Mission government as the engine room with knowledge gathered, has all it takes to sustain and keep the free, quality and compulsory education running in imo state.
Therefore to sustain and keep the free education running simultaneously, the people of Imo state must troop out en-mass with their PVCs and vote UGWUMBA UCHE NWOSU come march 9th 2019.
