IMO GUBER 2019: Ihedioha, Others Visit Tony Nwulu

The Governorship candidate of the United Progressive Party, UPP, Hon. Tony Nwulu On Thursday hosted Mr. Ihediohamma Uzoma led Wealthy Brothers Association, a  youth body at his Owerri country home.

The group endorsed Nwulu for Imo Governorship vowing to support his aspiration few days to the guber polls.

In his speech, Mr. Uzoma said Hon Nwulu represents Imo youths in the governorship race assuring him of their support during Saturday's governorship election. He said the group will go to their various wards and polling units to work for the success of the UPP governorship hopeful.

"We are not just supporting Tony Nwulu because we want to support him. We are endorsing him for governorship because he is a youth. If Tony Nwlu becomes the next Imo Governor, we believe Imo youths have won" he said

The group which has representatives in all the 27 local governments of Imo State said they decided to visit the UPP governorship hopeful in order to show solidarity to him.

In his opening speech, the Director General, Mezie Imo Movement, Hon Kelechi Chukwu enumerated the fine qualities of Hon Nwulu.

" As a young man, we have seen the zeal in Hon Tony Nwulu and we have no choice than to vote for him as the next  Governor of Imo State"

In his remarks, the UPP governorship candidate, Nwulu stated that the time of Imo youths to take over governance of the State has come.

He said that gone are the days, youths take a back seat on issues pertaining to governance in the State, recalling that he played a major role in ensuring that Nigerian youths become active partakers in the leadership of the country.

He stated that the Not Too Young To Run Act which he initiated on the floor of the House of Representatives was a clear demonstration of his commitment to ensure Nigerian youths are no longer left out in the task of governance of the State.

The event was witnessed by Deputy Governorship candidate of the UPP, Nnaemeka Obiareri, Imo State Chairman of UPP, Mr. Innocent Eke, Director General, Mezie Imo Movement, Mr. Kelechi Chukwu and others.
