DEMOCRACY HEROES AWARDS: Governor Wike, El rufai, Ben Ayade, Aminu Masari In Tight Race For 2019 Governor Of The Year Award

Nigerians have been drawn to vote for the Best performing Governor of the year, ahead of the forthcoming Democracy Heroes Awards, holding in Abuja, at Transcorp Hilton Hotel on the 12th of June, 2019. The event is organized by Face of Democracy organization, and supported by FIRS, AIT and HIP TV to recognize patriotic Democrats who has done excellently well in the delivery of true Democracy in their states, Constituency, communities and agencies.

According reports emanating from the organising team, the nominated Governors that will be competing for the Best Performing Governor of the Year in the 2019 Democracy Heroes Awards are H.E Governor Nyemsome Wike, the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Governor Nasir El Rufai, the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, HE Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State and Governor Benedict Ayade, the Executive Governor of Cross River state.

The category for Nigeria best performing Governor may have geared into a more competitive dimension, with developments of the ongoing voting exercise in Kaduna state, Rivers state, Katsina State and Cross River state.

However, with the re-election of these four nominated Governors in the just concluded 2019 general elections, it is obvious that their democratic devotion earned them the successes they attained. But the big question is, who will earn the majority vote from Nigerians as the "*Best Performing Governor of the Year*?

Amidst the inconsequential sectional crisis surrounding Kaduna state, observers have projected analysis of a fair but not considerate number of votes for Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El Rufai. However, his Rivers State counterpart has continued to heat up the waves with his influential might in the opposition party, especially the controversies that thrilled his re-election in the 2019 Governorship rerun election.

On the other hand, Katsina state's, Governor Aminu Masari has remained undoubtedly responsive in his life changing initiatives to improve livelihood, through improved security and humanitarian initiatives for the people of Katsina State.

The monitoring and evaluation team for the voting exercise also revealed that a review of the daunted democratic commitments of Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River may earn him a more appealing vote, especially with his ongoing inclusive governance of youngsters who plays a more pragmatic role in the voting process.

The Democracy Awards organisers has encouraged Nigerians to be objective in their decision in voting, stressing that the Governor with more votes from Nigerians will emerge as the "Best Performing Governor of the Year".
