Murder: Obiano splashes N6m reward on police operatives, informants

Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, has paid a total of N5 million to police operatives and informants who assisted in the arrest of wanted suspects involved in the alleged murder of the President General of Nimo, Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State, Chief Frank Anthony Igboka.

Another N1m was also given for the arrest of the notorious murder suspect Ikechukwu Udensi alias Ikanda, who was recently arrested by the police over alleged murder of one Mr. Ndubuisi Nwokolo in Onitsha.

News Express reports that following the shooting incident at Nimo on April 16, 2019 which resulted in the death of Chief Igboka, the Governor pledged to give N5m each to any information that leads police to the arrest of the four runaway suspects.

Presenting the cash reward to the beneficiaries on Tuesday in Awka, the state Commissioner of Police, Mustapha Dandaura, thanked the Governor for fulfilling his promise.

He gave assurance that the State Police Command is ready to sustain its onslaught against crimes and criminalities in the state.
