Paul Pogba Opts For Ramadan Trip To Mecca Rather Than Holidaying

Paul Pogba And Kurt Zouma In Mecca

Paul Pogba has marked Ramadan, the Islamic holy fasting with a trip to the pilgrimage city, Mecca.
The 26-yr-old has made the trip at the end of each of the last two Premier League campaigns.
Pogba who could be on his way out of Old Trafford soonest was joined on the trip by Everton’s Kurt Zouma.
The Frenchman posted pictures from the holy city with the caption: “Never forget the important things in life.”
The former Juventus man has previously been to Mecca on Hajj – a journey every follower of Muhammad and Islam as a religion is supposed to take in their lifetime.
Paul has made the pilgrimage trip at the end of the season rather than jet out to his favourite vacation spots such as Las Vegas in the United States and Ibiza in Spain.
He is expected to be named in the France squad for the Euro 2020 qualifiers which comes up next month after which it is expected that the World Cup winner makes a decision on his future.
Pogba is a target for French gaffer and Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane and has repeatedly flirted with the idea of playing at the Bernabeu sometime under the tutelage of Zidane.
Reports have it that Pogba’s wages are the only stumbling block to finalizing a deal as the midfielder is alleged to want a deal that would see him earn about £13m-a-year.
Paul Pogba enjoyed an interesting reawakening with the signature of Ole Gunnar Solksjaer but his form has since waned with those of his other teammates.
He was criticized and abused in the United’s last game against Cardiff City, an occurrence that could trigger the Frenchman’s want for a move away from Old Trafford.
Pogba has faced criticism for all of Manchester United’s woes this term and is believed to be the main reason for Jose Mourinho’s sack in December.
