President of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations, Muktar Zubairu Sirajo, has been honoured with the prestigious Impact Makers Award, held at the award ceremony of "Who is Who Awards" in FCT last weekend.
According to the organising committee of National Impact Makers Award, the NIPR president, Muktar Sirajo was honoured for his enormous achievements and dedication to further promote the practice of public relations in Nigeria.
As an Impact Maker Award Receipient, Mr. Muktar Sirajo has remained undaunted in the professional practice of Public Relations, and as a media expert he has maintained an objective focus on how to continuously ensure that practitioners operate with exposition to the dynamic requirements of the profession.
Muktar Sirajo was the Chief Press Secretary to seven Governors of Kaduna state, Special Adviser and DG on media and publicity in the NIPR from 1992 to 2007 and served as the Vice President of NIPR from 2013 to 2018
Since he emerged elected as the NIPR president, in the 2018 National Conference and Annual General Meeting held in Abia State, Muktar Sirajo has continue to promote full compliance of the provisions of Decree 16 of 1990, which criminalizes the practice of PR in Nigeria without certification by the institute and has defined strategic initiatives on how the Institute can be used resourceful in driving home the atmosphere of peace and development across Nigeria.
