Nigeria Top Model, Victoria Nworgu Loses Mum To Cancer, Pledges To Commence Campaign On Cancer Eradication In Nigeria

A renowned Nigeria Top Model and Beauty Queen, Her Majesty Queen Victoria J. Nworgu, former Most Beautiful Model in Nigeria  and Ex Miss Goodwill Ambassador has lost her mum, now late Mrs. Ezeneanyi Rita Nworgu, to the cold hands of that visitor who never knocks "death". Her mum passed-on to glory on the 8th of December 2019 at the National Hospital in Abuja, after battling with the illness of Cancer and was buried on the 8th of January 2020.

Speaking with Statepress, she described the loss of her mum as one she may never recover from. She expressed bitterness on the pain her mum went through and efforts made to manage the illness, which she said was to no avail. She stated that lots of money was spent, but it was hapless that money couldn't bring her back to life.

Late Mrs Rita was 51years old when she passed onto glory. Her impacts, contributions and motherly love will never be forgotten. "I can't help but to imagine that you have left me in this cruel world" says her daughter, Queen Victoria Nworgu, while lamenting the ordeal of her loss.

Queen Victoria however promised to put-in all her abilities and capacity in the campaign for the eradication and fight against cancer. She noted that the loss of her mum to the cancer illness has indeed changed her perspective about life, as she stated to ensure that enough awareness be created on how cancer can be identified, prevented and managed early enough.

She maintained that her commitment to fight cancer, will remain undaunted, especially as she would not want others to experience the bitterness she felt when she lost her mum to the illness. She may be commencing an awareness campaign soon on cancer related diseases and how challenged persons can identify and manage the scourge in its early stage, as that may be the only remedy.
