It is known that the primary purpose of governance is the security and welfare of the people. Dr. Godwin Maduka amongst his many "multipurpose" big ideas, believe in fighting insecurity through job creation. If our youths are trained, rightfully empowered and productively engaged, the tendencies of giving in to crime and other social vices would be minimal.
Beyond paying salaries as at when due, Dr. Godwin Maduka will; ensure conducive working conditions and welfare for our civil servants, review of retirement benefits for our pensioners, implement government policies that will encourage the private sector to employ more citizens, provide vocational training and startup capital for those who are interested in small and medium scale businesses, introduce women-in-business empowerment scheme, protect and stimulate the growth of small and medium scale enterprises (MSMEs) by providing tax incentives, build standard stadium and re-invent the sports ministry. These will reposition government institutions to function more efficiently and effectively.
Dr Godwin Maduka's template for employment will unlock a window of opportunities for youths and women, this is important in building a dependable and viable future we can all be proud of. It is time for the youths to stand up and enthrone a government that accommodates our primary interest. Let's support Lion of Africa in translating this blueprint to reality.
