In view of the ongoing Malaria Eradication Project In Africa, the Project Convener, Prince Ned Nwoko Foundation which flagged off the malaria campaign few months ago has received the Ambassador of Morocco to Nigeria, Amb. Moha Ou Ali Tagma at the Foundation Head office in Abuja.
According to AbujaPress, the meeting between the Chairman of Prince Ned Foundation and Ambassador Moha Ou Ali Tagma from Morocco was premised on deliberations and interventions that can be strategically adopted to ensure a malaria free continent, since Morocco, a North African nation had since 2011 been declared a malaria free country.
Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko, the Founder and Chairman of the foundation during the meeting noted that the collaboration between his foundation and government of Morocco was to establish development partnership that can support the eradication of malaria, not only in Nigeria, but across of nations in Africa.
Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko had recently returned from the Antarctica Expedition which focused solely on creating awareness on the malaria eradication project flagged off by his foundation, as well as his interest in collaborating with renowned scientists from across the world, who he met during his trip to the Antarctica.
The foundation is creating adept channels through which it vision in malaria eradication can be efficiently eradicated. Prince Ned Nwoko Foundation will be collaborating with governments and other international NGOs on researches across Five institutions in Africa for the discovery of vaccines that will be used to end the scourge in Nigeria haven mapped out $750,000 for the research. The foundation will also commence the fumigation of environments across Nigeria as a short term measure in managing malaria problem in Nigeria.
The Malaria Eradication Project will in no doubt support living and reduce the mortality rate malaria victims, as it has been proven to be the world's most deadliest parasite, recording millions of death cases since its outbreak. According to the Project Manager, Mr Chuks Anyaduba, he noted that the malaria eradication initiative by Prince Ned Nwoko Foundation was a big step that requires great commitment, devotion and is open to prospective contributions from professional agencies, institutions and individual.
He stressed that the vision of making Africa a malaria free continent was achievable, but only if we all work together and contributing our little quota to the success of the project, especially in Nigeria-the giant of Africa.
