FCT restricts movement of trailers in Abuja

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello, has placed a restriction on the movement of  articulated vehicles on   roads within Abuja   in the mornings and early evenings.

Owners of heavy duty trucks have therefore been advised  to always abide by the  laid down traffic  regulations  guiding  vehicular movement into  and within the city to avoid their vehicles being impounded by security operatives.

The minister gave the advice when he received a delegation of the national executives of the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers( NUPENG)  and the led by its  National President, Comrade  William Akporeha, who paid him  a courtesy visit.

Bello  said  that the traffic  laws were put  in place to guard against accidents and  safeguard the lives and property of the people. He lamented the loss of lives and property that usually followed any road  mishap involving tankers  and called on the  tanker drivers to work with government to avoid such incidences by obeying  road traffic laws.
