Late Father Of Hon. Vincent Ofumelu To Be Laid To Rest In Umodu Village, Anambra State

It is indeed a celebration of Life, as the Family of Late Chief Okafor Ofumelu of Umunnebo Kindred, Umodu Village, Umerun, Ayamelum LGA in Anambra State holds the Burial Ceremony of their beloved Father, Brother, Uncle, In-Law, Grandfather and Breath grandfather Chief OK a for Ofumelu who departed gloriously at Age 75.

The Burial Ceremony and lying in state of Late Chief Okafor will be held in his compound, on the Saturday 14th March 2020. The internment and condolences will also hold at same venue. Family members from across the world, including friends and loyalists to the Late Chief will be at the epoch ceremony of "Igwe Mkpume", a title he held until his departure.
According to his Son, Hon. Vincent Ofumelu, the House of Representative Member for Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency in Anambra State, who spoke but in affectionate expressions told us that it was painful, but that someday everyone will take that same journey, it was just a matter of time. He says "Papa may your gentle soul rest in perfect peace and harmony". He father will be buried on the same day when he received his Certificate of Return as the Member Representing Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency in Anambra State which was on the 14th of March 2018.

Late Chief Okafor Ofumelu, titled "Igwe Mkpume" lived a life of fulfilment and was graced with even great grandchildren. His exemplar life during his times was admired and iconic to many. He was one of the Chiefs in his town that was and even in death still held with very high esteem for his display of humility, intellectual courage and exceptional leadership qualities.
