Hon. Vincent Ekene Ofumelu, the House of Representative Member for Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency in Anambra State, has assured Nigerians that the green chambers of the National Assembly will continue to demonstrate democratic leadership, especially in this trying times of the covid19 pandemic, as it remains committed to robust policy formulation and critical monitoring of the implementation process.
In a press statement signed by Hon. Vincent Ofumelu, and released to newsmens recently after the first National Assembly session in Abuja since the outbreak of coronavirus, he noted that himself and his fellow legislative colleagues have resolved to set the ball rolling for the executive arm of government. He reassured Nigerians that the legislative arm of government will remain undauntedly committed to the protection of lives and the sources of their livelihood.
He noted that the House of representatives in collaboration with its colleagues at the red chambers will continue to lead proactive measures to galvanize laws that will be in concordance with global health community towards finding a vaccine to the recent covid19 outbreak in the country. He further stated that the zeal was to ensure that no part of the country is neglected in the distribution of palliatives to lessen the challenges and economic effects caused by dreadful coronavirus outbreak which has claimed thousands of lives and have affected more than a million of the world's population.
Described as the "talk and do Legislator", Hon. Ofumelu has remained unshakable in his envisioned mandate to ensure that Nigerians and especially persons in his federal constituency continue to benefit significantly from the dividends of his democratic and concerned leadership. He has continue to lead advocacy programs to promote awareness on the safety precaution to contain the new outbreak in his constituency and has made meaningful efforts to support progressive measures through monetary commitments and otherwise.
He remains a true servant of the people, the voice of the dumb and the vision of several blind persons in Anambra state and across Nigeria.
