The past few days has been a beehive of activities in Abia And environs, marking the 40th birthday of a renowned philanthropist and former Aba North Local Government Chairman, Hon. Alex Ikwechegh.
Hon. Ikwechegh is the founder and President of Alex Ikwechegh Foundation, which has become a household name in Abia and Nigeria, especially among the downtrodden, who are perennial recipients Hon. Ikwechegh’s milk of human kindness.
To underscore the impact of the humanitarian activities of the soft spoken Aba homeboy, the leaders of the two major political parties in the state, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP and Senator Orji Uzor Kalu of the All Progressives Congress, APC joined Abians to celebrate Hon. Alex Ikwechegh.
Hon. Ikwechegh has no doubt written his name in gold in the hearts of the people and it has continued to resonate.
