DG Global Peace Advocacy and Empowerment Initiative Recieves African Icon Award, Appointed as Nigeria Representative Coordinator for UN-WOHRP
As frotliners in the humanitarian industry continue to receive accolades, accompanied by bigger responsibilities to encourage their humanitarian activities, the Director General of Global Peace Advocacy and Empowerment Initiative, Amb. Badamasi Sadiq Ibrahim was not left out. On the 24th of July 2021 Amb. Badamasi Sadiq was honoured and recognised at the prestigious African Icon Awards held at Accra in Ghana, coinciding with his recent appointment as Nigeria's Representative Coordinator for UN World Organization For Human Rights and Peace.
According to our Source, the appointment of Amb. Badamasi as the Nigeria Representative Coordinator of UN-WOHRP amongst other Appointees across the world is in line with her objectives. Reports have confirmed that the Appointment mandates the new Appointees to protect and promote human rights across the world, especially in nations that have adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
In a statement by Amb. Badamasi, he assured the UN World Organization For Human Rights and Peace(UN-WOHRP) of a responsive representation, as he noted that the mission to promote peace and human rights in Nigeria will be achieved to fruition. However, the DG of GPAEI was honoured with the award of "Global Youth Ambassador" of Year 2021, for his innovative inputs and impacts towards supporting global peace through the multiple development projects piloted by Global Peace Advocacy and Empowerment Initiative.
The well attended African Icon Awards witnessed the presence and recognition of several Africa leaders, as well as notable personalities across the African continent who have made iconic contributions towards the growth and improvement of Africa.
Speaking with our Reporter few hours ago in Abuja, Amb. Badamasi Sadiq Ibrahim noted that the recent awards and appointment was a huge recognition of his earnest efforts in peace advocacy and youth empowerment across the globe. Amb. Sadiq also thanked the entire Team of Global Peace Advocacy and Empowerment Initiative, as well as her Country Directors across the world for the role they had played to make the recognitions and honour come to pass, stressing that there is more to expect from GPAEI. He noted that his Organization will remain commited to sustainable peace projects and youth empowerment programs to help build better Communities across the world.
