Dr Adejoh Sulaiman has appreciated the Minister of FCT state for a peaceful conduct of the just concluded FCT AREA council elections
Speaking to the media in Abuja on Saturday he stated that the FCT Minister Dr Ramatu Aliyu Tijjani has demonstrated capacity as a peace promoter and been the Grand matron of peace in Nigeria allowed for a free and fair council polls as advocated for a violence free elections and still went ahead to demonstrate it in practical terms as she said nobody's election is worth the blood of any Nigerian .
As the former national women leader of the ruling party and current FCT minister of State she could have influenced the election like some state governors are known for using FGN's platform to conduct the elections and rig it for her party and heaven will not fall, but the way the Amazon is wired has proven to us all that she is a woman who promotes peaceful coexistence of all FCT residents.
"We call on all residents of the FCT to appreciate Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu for her commitments to nation building in a positive way."
"All other leaders in positions of leadership should know that election is a choice. Allow the electorate to vote their candidate for maximum delivery of the dividence of democracy"
"We equally advise the newly elected 6 Area council chairmen in the FCT to be proactive to their new office and provide the needed infrastructures to better the lives of their people."
Dr Adejoh Sulaiman expressed satisfaction on the part of the security formations and call on all FCT residents to support the new chairmen. He expressed regret over the death of two Nigerians at a ward in Karu and equally advised youths to avoid such occurrences in future elections as no body is supposed to be a victim for another to be in position. "Avoid election thuggery as the end result will not favour your family" he added.
They are Nigerians, we are not happy they died like that we are in prayers too, may their souls rest in peace.
Dr Sulaiman Adejoh is the convener of prestigious yearly national peace awards in Nigeria. This year's event is slated for the usual venue; International Conference Center by November 12th. Where the Executive Governor of Enugu state who bags the Most Peaceful Governor in Nigeria award is coming to give the key note speech.
