The Esama of Benin Kingdom, Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion has been decorated as one of the patrons of Messengers of Peace Foundation. Other PATRONS includes the Executive Governor of enugu and katsina state, HRH The Emir of Bichi Dr Nasir Ado Bayero .
He was decorated recently at his palace by the a team led by the founder of Messengers of Peace Foundation, Dr. Suleiman Adejoh.
This comes ahead of a National Peace Award organised by the foundation expected to take place on November 19, 2022 at International Conference Centre Abuja.
Esama of Benin Kingdom, Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion has been listed as one of the eminent Nigerians to be honoured for his contributions towards the entrenchment of peace in Nigeria.
Others to be honoured include, Col Sani Bello (rtd) Major General Ibrahim Sani (rtd) while a former President of the Republic of Ghana, Dr John Mahama who is also an award recipient is expected to present the key note speech. Special appearance ,Dr Hanna Louisa Bishaw, the women organizing leader of NDC Ghana / President of Ecowas forum of political parties .
The Grand Matron of Peace in Nigeria Dr Ramatu Aliyu Tijjani, who is also the FCT Minister of State will be honoured for her outstanding performance in nation building through her massive empowerments of Nigerians in every aspect of life.
The Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom, Udom Emmanuel, his Niger, Nassarawa, Delta, Gombe, Yobe,sokoto and several other VIPs are billed to grace the event.
The Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Zubairu Gambo will also be receiving an award for his tremendous role in securing the waterways in Nigeria. Chief olisa metuh a great Nigerian philanthropist who retired from active politics from PDP is equally on the list of recipients. Hon Bar Mohammed wakil, the former minister of state power who is currently the president of ICRPC an Arbitrator, mediator councilator with the institute of Arbitrators UK is pen down to receive his award.
The wife of the Chief of Army Staff, Mrs Salamatu F Yahaya, will be recognized for her selfless service to humanity especially widows of the fallen heroes. Jaiz bank will be honoured as the most friendly bank for their efforts in promoting peace in the banking sector, This event will be live on the 19th November at the international conference center abuja by 11am on several media platforms. National Peace Awards is God's own project, a yearly event where Nigerians who are contributing to peaceful coexistence using their time talent or resource are nominated for recognition ,the voices of peace promoters is needed in our dear country .
