Queen Jennifer Ephraim Foundation Honoured As Purpose Driven NGO Of The Year

 

A leading humanitarian organisation, Queen Jennifer Ephraim Foundation has been honoured with the prestigious award of Purpose-driven Foundation of the Year at the recently held African NGO Festival. 


The event which took place at Sheraton Hotel Abuja was organized by Ango Media in partnership Roost Foundation. 


It was designed to celebrate the achievements of Non-Governmental Organizations that have impacted lives in the area of Healthcare Delivery, Food Aid, Human Development and Sustainability Programmes in Africa.

It is in appreciation of the foundation's remarkable support to human development in Nigeria and beyond. 


The founder of the foundation and a beauty queen, Jennifer Ephraim while receiving her award which was presented after the event expressed gratitude to the organisers for finding her worthy of the award. 


The event attracted high profile individuals NGOs and their owners, including the First Lady of Bauchi state. 


The CEO, ANGO Media, Samaila Vangawa had earlier hinted that the Main day morning event will be a success story exhibition where non-profit organizations, civil society organisations, social enterprise agencies exhibit photos that tell their stories. 

It also featured an interactive moment where organizations, stakeholders and funders interacted to find solutions to some of their challenges. 


There was also the induction of non-profit African Ambassadors which include men and women who support the works of noprofit organizations in Africa.


There was also the unveiling of African NGOs and international donor organizations magazine which is expected to be a monthly publication for platform that will create awareness on the activities of nonprofit in Africa. 



The soft spoken ex Beauty Queen was recently honoured and presented with Aso Heritage Award as Aso Cultural Ambassador 2022.


About Queen Jennifer Ephraim 


Born on August 23, 1998 to her teenage mum who was just 14 year, Mrs Okoye Ifeoma Loveth from Aniocha local government area of Anambra state, the young Jennifer had her Nursery & Primary school in Holy Ghost Foundation School Abakaliki, Ebonyi state. She was later to move to Lagos, the South Western part of the country where she continued her education pursuit from SS1 and completed her secondary education in 2014. 


Same year, she secured admission into the University of Adonai, Benin Republic where she studied International Relations and French proudly bagged her first degree in the year 2018. She proceeded for her one year mandatory National Youth Service, NYSC at Petroleum Equalisation Fund and Management Abuja same year 2018. 


As a true manifestation that 2018 was indeed a special year for her, she also won her beauty pageant as Face of Democracy Nigeria South-East. After a successful and fruitful reign, she handed over to her successor in 2019 and went ahead to establish her NGO same year known as Queen Jennifer Ephraim Foundation. 


The organisation has remained a source of succour to the desolate and downtrodden. She described the official unveiling of the organization in the first Week of February 2020 as a dream come through, a vision which she had nurtured from the childhood.


In her public (speaking) engagements and indeed her writings, she has continued to lay a foundation for younger generations of Nigerians to find their space in life. 


She proudly signposts a role model and guidance to younger women through her constant interaction through avenues she creates on International Women Day, International Day of the Girl Child, Children's Day and more. Apart from the scholarship her foundation doles out, she has also paid serious attention to the hygiene of the girl child, particularly menstrual hygiene which greatly affects their reproductive health now or in the future
