Tinubu vows to retrain ‘Yahoo Boys’

 

All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, Bola Tinubu, has promised to retrain internet fraudsters, otherwise known as Yahoo Boys, to become tech experts.


He made the promise on Thursday in Benin at the party’s presidential campaign that held in the University of Benin (UNIBEN) sports complex.


According to the presidential hopeful, his coming into the presidential race is the coming of happiness, prosperity to the country.


“We will create jobs, we will turn this state to energy state, we will turn the so-called Yahoo Boys to experts in manufacturing of chips.


“If you want prosperity, elect me, you want skill to become rich, elect me. If you say go and retire now, you retire knowledge diamond and skill.


“We can defeat poverty, we can break the shackle of poverty, shackle of ignorance, shackle of homelessness. We will do it together.


“We have the knowledge, we have the brain, trust me. I am an expert in finding the way where there is no way. That is the power of thinking and doing.


To those who demand that he retire from politics, Asiwaju said, “If you say go retire now, you retire knowledge, diamond, gold and minerals.”


Commenting on the endorsement of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, by former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Bola Tinubu said “one who does not know the road cannot show the road”, describing such endorsement as poisonous for the country.


Tinubu who disclosed that he would demand for reparation of collected revenue from stolen artifacts, promised to provide fund for the proposed royal museum in Benin, if elected president.


Earlier, the State Chairman of the party, Davis Imuse, said the state is prepared to ensure Asiwaju’s victory at the poll, come 2023.


Also speaking former national chairman of APC, Adams Oshiomhole, noted that Asiwaju has done so much to promote multi party democracy in Nigeria, noting that he (Asiwaju) believes in the unity of the country.


In his remark, Kano state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, described Edo people as very committed, even as he added that the 19 northern states committed to elect BAT. We are committed for that ticket.
