Nazareth Jesse: The Loud Campaigner For Violence Free Election

With few weeks to the 2023 elections, Nigeria is no doubt on the precipe of history — a major political outing that can make or mar the country. A politically volatile country with a long history of electoral violence, the giant of Africa is on march for a decisive political season. 


In all of these, key individuals and organisations have been at the forefront in canvassing for a violence free and rancour free election, predicated on their belief that no one's political ambition is worth the blood of another patriot. 


This is exactly what Nazareth Bako Jesse an actor, film maker,a brand model, counsellor and Entrepreneur is out to advance. 


The campaign for a peaceful election is one of the numerous initiatives he put in place during his tenure as Mayor of Abuja, of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, the umbrella body of actors. 


As the National vice president Actors Guild of Nigeria, North Central, the Kuje Area council of FCT-born social change campaigner set up a pet project called "Actor Support Peaceful Election 2023" which also received the partnership of the electoral umpire, the INEC, the Nigerian Police Force and Nigeria Immigration Service. A novelty match was also held, which was won by the Nigeria Police. 


A graduate of Business Administration who also holds first degree in Economics from the University of Abuja, Nazareth Jesse is a firm believer in the peaceful co-existence and unity of the Nigerian nation. 


For him, a peaceful election is one way to drive national development and he is not ready to give up in this advocacy.
