The wave of victory for the opposition Labour Party in the South East and other parts of the country has dislodged the aspiration of Ike Iyiegbu of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) of being elected into the House of Representatives.
Ike is brother to the popular socialite and businessman, Obi Cubana.
Abuja Press reports that the popularity of Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate has brought some political fortunes to House of Representatives and Senate candidates of the party, many of whom have been declared winner in South East geopolitical zone and the FCT Abuja in the just concluded National Assembly elections.
The collation of presidential election result is still ongoing with Peter Obi among the leading candidates.
Ike iyiegbu lost his election to Labour Party’s Uche Okonkwo who has been declared winner at the poll by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.
