Top personalities from all works of life have departed from Abuja to Uyo where they have gone to show solidarity with the President of 36 Pals Development Initiative, Victor Greatson Okon who is unveiling his multi million Naira mansion, as well as committing his grand mother to the mother earth.
Members of the Initiative along with other friends had arrived Godswill Akpabio stadium Uyo on Thursday to a glamorous welcome amidst tight presence of security operatives.
From there they headed straight to the palatial home of Okon, who is also the chairman of Wright Links Logistics, a leading shipping line in the country.
Upon their arrival, processes for the unveiling of the mansion took its full swing amidst cheers and fanfare.
It was a festival of sort as traditional dance troupes thrilled guests with their acrobatic dance steps.
The chief celebrant took time to take his guests round the beautiful edifice as they extolled him for the great accomplishment.
There was enough to eat and drink as locals came in their large numbers to have a field day.
The two-fold event continued on Friday with the burial rite of his aged grand mother, which is more of celebration of life festival with rains of money.
Members of the 36 Pals Development Initiative added colour to the funeral ceremony as they appeared in angelic white uniforms and customized Ibom native cap to be with their president.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Seaman Global Ltd, Amb Dr Maxwell Stephen Nweze made a donation of one cow to Victor Okon, while members of the 36 Pals Development Initiative also followed suit by donating a full cow for the entertainment of guests at the burial ceremony.
Our correspondent gathered that though the environment is sober over the death of the woman described as a very godly person, guests and members of the community are in high spirit as merriment goes of for a worthy Christian life she led.
The event will wrap up on Friday night with club hosting at Play Terrace Lounge Uyo tagged De Chairman's Lavish Night with the billionaires.
It will kick off at 10:00pm till mama calls.
