Big Break Moment unveils 2nd edition of its reality show, book presentation Amidst Glitz And Glamour

The Big Break Moment Africa hosted its Grand Unveiling on the 27th of August, 2023 at the International Conference Center, Abuja, Nigeria.

The Big Break Moment Africa hosts an edutainment reality TV show aimed at talented students from tertiary institutions across the continent, especially those skilled in singing, acting, and dancing. Our goal is to bridge the gap created between classroom education and the entertainment industry, giving these students the right platform to express their skills to the world. This we have successfully achieved working with thousands of undergraduates across the nation, Nigeria.

To bridge this gap a little further, this year’s edition features a new anecdote well-welcomed by the team and partners of the Big Break Moment Africa: The Big Break book. The book (authored by the Executive Producer, Barr. Orbby Agwuncha, also known as Bossladylaw) was written to help heavily talented students who cannot take the required risks for their big break because their minds are not trained to resist self-stoppers such as fear, distractions, low self-esteem, and other challenges students face daily.

The event kicked off with a bright cultural display by the Black Bolt cultural troupe who impressed the audience with their energetic dance steps. The rich display of the Eyo masquerades gave the entrance even more color as the King of Iwoland, HIM Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, Alase Lori Orisha, Arole Olodumare, Telu I, walked in.

Ravishing Frank Edoho of the timeless Who Wants to Be a Millionaire moderated the show with Denrenle Edun as the co-host. Major appearances at the grand unveiling include:

*Stage performances by our ambassadors, Dabelu, Victor Rhymes, and Dotar.

*Book review by Barrister Wesley

*Book Launch, with the King of Iwoland as the chief launcher

*Musical performance by D.J. Wysei

One hall sat great dignitaries and prominent celebrities too many to mention. Some striking appearances are the Oba of Iwoland, HIM Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi; the younger brother of the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Jafar Muhammad Shanono OON, the Taliban Karaye, Karaye Emirate of Kano state; the Deputy Managing Director of Zenith Bank, Adaora Umoji; the honorable member representing Aguata Constituency, Hon. Engr. Dominic Okafor; APC National Youth Leader, Hon. Dayo Israel; Senior pastor of His Treasure House, Pastor Godwin and Seun Uwubamen; Comfort Booth from the Housewives of Abuja, Ushbebe, and many more.

The second season of the reality TV show channeled towards talented undergraduates officially flagged open at the end of the event with the theme #RepYourCampus. The registration portal is open on the Big Break Moment app (available on Google and Apple stores) for auditions. More details about the registration process are available on all our social media platforms.
