Hamas frees 2 more Gaza hostages – Reports

On Monday, the Palestinian militant group Hamas announced the release of two more captives taken in the Gaza Strip during the October 7 attacks.


Following mediation by Qatar and Egypt, the Islamist group’s military branch announced in a statement that the two women had been released for “compelling humanitarian” reasons.


There was no immediate confirmation by Israeli authorities.


Two American women were freed on Friday, out of the 222 hostages Israel had confirmed are being held in Gaza.
