Nigerian Army gives update on Kaduna bombing

The Nigerian Army has said that the findings of its inquiry into the unintentional bombing of communities in Tudun Biri, Igabi Local Government Area, Kaduna State, will be made public soon.

The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, said this during a Channels Television interview on Tuesday.

He promised that the probe would not be pushed under the rug.

“The outcome of the investigation will be made public very soon. We are sincere and fair; we want to know what truly happened to make amends. I can assure you that nothing will be thrown under the carpet.

“Nigerians must take ownership of the insecurity challenges facing the country.

“We are leveraging technology to end insecurity, especially to avert what happened in Kaduna”, he said.

Abujapress reports that in the first week of December, the Nigerian Army accidentally bombed villagers of Tundun Biri during the Maulad celebration.

The unfortunate incident sparked condemnation among Nigerians.
