Notable Nigerians are set for induction and conferment of honorary Doctorate Degree award by the Chartered Institute of Information and Strategy Management (CIISM) in partnership with Prowess University, Delaware United States.
Among them are, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, Governor of Yobe state, Mai Mala Buni, former Governor of Enugu state, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, a former member of the Senate, Grace Folashade Bent among others.
Scheduled to hold on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023 the event will hold at Rockview hotel Abuja.
According to the organisers, the Chartered Institute of Information and Strategy Management (CIISM) formerly known as Institute of Information and Strategy Management (IISM) is an educational institution and the largest professional body of information and strategic management in Africa.
CIISM was established as an independent, non-political non-profit making National body, the institute is governed by the council of members and recognizing that information & strategic management is a multi-disciplinary field.
The institute also works closely with other specialist Institutes and associations across the world and seeks to represent an increasingly broad and diverse set of stakeholders.
Addressing newsmen in Abuja, the President of CIISM and former Attorney-General of Delta State, Dr. Peter Adogbejire Mrakpor said those listed for the honour of Doctorate Degree were carefully selected individuals who boast of impeccable character.
He assured that the Institute will continue to draw the needed attention to the field of information & strategic management especially as the country seeks to rebrand its image.
Also speaking, the CIISM Director of membership and the secretary, Dr. Oyintoke Adelanke P urged Nigerians seeking to professinalise and develop their information and strategic management skills to see CIISM as their solution.
According to him, the institute offers an opportunity for professionalism and certification that is recognised within and outside Nigeria.
To bag an honorary Doctorate Degree and distinguished fellow of the Institute are His Royal Majesty Dr. Oba Gabriel Ayodele Adejuwon, the Onisan Isan-Ekiti LGA Ekiti State and Sherif Idi the CEO/ECO co-founder TAJ Bank.
Also to be conferred with fellowship and excellence in leadership award is Hon. Barr. Ben Etanabene, member House of Representatives for Sapele & Uvwie federal constituency of Delta State.
