Denmark announces visas for welders, bricklayers, mechanics, teachers, others

Denmark has announced visas for a new list of professional qualified workers as part of its efforts to address the country’s labour shortfall in several industries.

The Danish government offered entrance for welders, bricklayers, mechanics, teachers, and other skilled people to help the country with its rising labor deficit.

In an effort to assist the country with its current labor deficit, the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI) indicated that 72 highly educated and 38 highly trained individuals will be required to fill various roles inside the country.

Aside from the skilled workers, the Danish government outlined other areas where workers would be needed, including scientists, engineers, medical doctors, nurses, educationists, economists, IT experts, architects, pharmacists, accountants,

Insurance agents, sales consultants, sales and account managers, customs officers, real estate agents, property managers, and medical secretaries are also listed.

Denmark also needs to fill other positions such as landscape gardener, precision mechanic, electrician, and cabinetmaker.

The country had been loosening its immigration rules to attract talent and lowered the minimum salary requirement by expanding the work permit fast-track scheme.
