Taking charge as the head of Central African diplomacy, Minister Sylvie Baïpo Temon is diligently advancing her ambitious agenda, aiming to overcome the challenges faced by the nation. Temon has served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Central African Republic since 14 December 2018. Since the military-political crisis that began on March 23, 2013, and the subsequent dominance of the Seleka coalition, the Central African Republic has struggled to maintain its identity as a functioning state.
However, under the determined leadership of President Faustin Archange Touadéra, who assumed office on March 30, 2016, Central African Republic has been reclaiming its position on the global stage. Efforts to restore state authority, peace, and security have led to the easing of embargoes that previously hindered the Central African Republic Armed Forces from safeguarding the national territory and protecting its citizens.
Minister Temon's active role in Central African diplomacy is evident in the country's representation in the UN Security Council. Numerous bilateral agreements have been signed, facilitating the involvement of Russian and Rwandan instructors in the training of the Central African Armed Forces (FACA).
President Touadéra's proactive diplomatic approach has resulted in the liberation of nearly 80% of the national territory from armed insurgents. Additionally, this diplomatic initiative has propelled the Central African Republic into the BRICS member states and initiated a transition to cryptocurrency, aiming to stimulate the national economy.
Today, the remarkable diplomatic endeavors undertaken cannot be overlooked in their contribution to the resurgence of the Central African Republic.
