Sun Award: Nigerian Billionaire, Ken Ifekudu Receives 71 Goodwill Messages worth 50 Million Naira

Publishers of the Sun newspaper have raked in over 50 million naira in goodwill messages from Super High Chief Ken Ifekudu OFR at the recently held award event in Lagos.

Chief Ken Ifekudu, who is the chairman of Diamond Leeds Ltd, was honored as the Businessman of the Year by the Sun newspaper over the weekend.

To celebrate with him, friends and well-wishers flooded the pages of the Sun Newspaper with goodwill messages.

At the last count, over 71 goodwill messages have been received, with more still pouring in.

The goodwill messages have been featured on the pages of the newspaper tabloid since Friday and have not stopped coming.

The cost of a full page colored goodwill message is estimated to be about 750,000 naira.

According to a source, this is possibly the largest number of goodwill messages received by an award recipient since the beginning of the award show.

It is also remarkable that these goodwill messages have come at a time when the country is experiencing a cash crunch.

The source stated that it demonstrates the level of goodwill that Chief Ifekudu enjoys from friends and well-wishers to have received such a significant number of messages.

Some of the goodwill messages are from corporate organizations and highly influential individuals in the country.

Chief Ken Ifekudu, chairman of Diamond Leeds Ltd, is a highly respected figure in the construction and real estate industry in the country.

In his speech at the event, Chief Ifekudu dedicated the award to God,his wife Chioma Ifekudu and staff of Diamond Leeds Ltd,who he said contributed immensely to his success. He stated that the award is an encouragement to keep making giant strides in the business landscape of the country.

Presidential Candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi, Secretary to the government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, Publisher of Sun newspaper, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State, Industrialist, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, Billionaire oil Magnate, Uju Ifejika, Chairman, United Nigeria Air,Prof Obiora Okonkwo amongst other distinguished dignitaries attended the event.

In addition to being a successful businessman, Ken Ifekudu is also a philanthropist. In December, he commissioned various projects in his community of Ozubulu in Anambra State, including road projects, lock-up shops, and financial empowerment programs for aspiring entrepreneurs.

Ken Ifekudu was honored by the federal government last year with the national honor of Officer of the Federal Republic (OFR).

A lover of education, Ken holds two master’s degrees and is currently studying law at one of the Nigerian universities.
