Omobayo Marvellous Godwins is a Nigerian politician, and a seasoned engineer with extensive professional experience in the oil and gas sector.

1. Omobayo was born July 19, 1986.

2. He hails from Akoko Edo Local Government Area of the State.

3. Omobayo has a B.Eng Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and an MSc in Public Administration from the University of Benin (UNIBEN).

4. He is a registered member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).

5. Omobayo served as a Senior Maintenance Engineer at Dresser Wayne West Africa Limited.

6. Omobayo contested as the Labour Party candidate for Federal House of Representatives seat in Akoko-Edo Federal Constituency during the 2023 elections.

7. Omobayo was sworn-in on Monday 8 April, 2024 as deputy governor of Edo State following the impeachment of the then deputy governor, Philip Shaibu.
