‘My father, my leader’: Embattled Edo deputy gov, Shaibu, sends touching message to Oshiomhole

Embattled Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, on Thursday penned a special birthday message to Senator Adams Oshiomhole.

Shaibu, who is currently facing impeachment proceedings initiated by the Edo State House of Assembly, described Oshiomhole as a great father and leader.

PlatinumPost reports that Shaibu and Oshiomhole were close allies in the All Progressives Congress before the former dumped the APC alongside his principal, Governor Godwin Obaseki for the Peoples Democratic Party on the heels of the 2020 gubernatorial election in the state.

But in a message posted on his verified Facebook page on Thursday to celebrate Oshiomhole’s birthday, Shaibu, who is now at dagger-drawn with Obaseki, said the Edo North Senator’s contributions to mankind need to be fully appreciated.

He said : “The Lion Keeps Waxing Stronger!

My father, my elder brother, my friend, my leader — Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomole, it’s with utmost happiness that I’m joining the host of heaven and millions of friends and family across the world to celebrate you on your 72nd birthday.

You have immensely contributed to mankind, your state and the country at large in your best capacity and your works are there for the world to celebrate and appreciate.

My prayer for you is to continue to grow stronger and keep shaping your world in your best capacity.

Happy Birthday, The People’s Comrade.”

  1. Shuabi, the outgoing Deputy Governor of Edo State lost his chance of becoming Governor when he followed Gov Obasheki to revolt against the elected House of Assembly members. Let him go and enjoy his ill-gotten wealth from betrayal.
