Police arrest Edo father for using 4-year-old daughter for adult contents

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) have arrested a man who used his four-year-old daughter to post adult content on social media.

Nigerians have urged the arrest of an Edo father who was exploiting his 4-year-old daughter with obsecene Instagram photos, referring to her as a “model” with an adult film actress serving as her “mentor.”

There has been outcry about potential child abuse, with many requesting that the unsettling account be removed. The man had set up an Instagram account for the little girl, which contained numerous indecent photographs and videos that viewers described as “obscene” and “disturbing”.

He referred to his daughter as a “model” and even tagged celebrities, encouraging them to follow her account. However, in a statement issued on Sunday, the Force’s PRO, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, stated that the Force was outraged by the apparent abuse of the young child and strongly denounced such activities.

“The Nigeria Police Force notes the public uproar in reaction to terrible photographs and videos of a 4-year-old child with the Instagram account @officialsarah_ig that have circulated on social media.

“The content shows the young youngster in inappropriate poses, similar to adult content. The Force is profoundly shocked and concerned about the apparent exploitation of this young child, and it strongly condemns such conduct. “Prima facie investigations point to the involvement of the child’s father, who was seized by police at the Auchi Divisional Police Headquarters, Edo State Police Command. Every necessary action is being taken to ensure that justice is served quickly.

As the inquiry progresses, it is critical to implement proactive measures to guide and counsel parents, so preventing the spread of such anomalies in our society. “In light of the foregoing, the Force emphasises the need of establishing support structures for parents and guardians to ensure their children’s safety and well-being. It is critical that carers prioritise the safety of minors and seek support or guidance as needed. The Nigeria Police Force is unwavering in its commitment to protecting children and obeying the law.
