Austin JJ Okocha, Nwankwo Kanu, Mark Fish Among Legends To Play In Attom Foundation Charity Champions Cup

 

The Super Eagles’ ex-internationals including Austin J J Okocha, Nwankwo Kanu and foreign legends would be on duty Saturday at the main bowl of Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja to entertain in the Attom Foundation organised Charity Champions Cup, reports page3 ews.com.ng

Victor Osimhem, Samuel Chukwueze, Wilfred Ndidi, Stanley Nwabali, Kelechi Iheanacho and Kenneth Omeruo are among players of the current Super Eagles that would entertain in the thrilling event that combines the excitement of football with the noble cause of supporting communities in need through Attom Foundation.

South Africa’s Mark Fish would be among the foreign legends expected to entertain in the Charity Champions Cup aims to raise awareness and provide medical assistance to over 10,000 individuals in need.

Attom Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to humanitarian causes, hinted of purchasing mobile clinic vehicles for each state of the federation including the Federal Capital Territory, FCT each costing 250,000 US Dollars.

Already, three have arrived at the Lagos seaport and are being cleared.

The Saturday’s Charity Champions Cup is to raise awareness of the medical assistance (Eyes Clinic) to be rendered to the less privileged in the society.

Dr Ozy Okonokhua, a Public Health Optometrist with Habib Medical Clinic said Friday in Abuja that 84 per cent of blindness are avoidable and noted that quacks cause a lot of damage.

He said the North East take the top position in issue of blindness in Nigeria.

Through this charity game, the Attom Foundation hope to raise funds to support its mission of treating 10,000 people in need during this period.
