The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has stated that he has not received any formal letter requesting the use of Eagle Square for a protest scheduled to begin on August 1.

Speaking at a town hall meeting on Saturday with key stakeholders in the FCT, Wike emphasized that the protesters should not rely solely on social media to communicate with his office.

He advised them to follow the appropriate channels to make their request.

This statement was made ahead of the planned #EndBadGovernance protest. Wike had previously warned against the protest, declaring, “The FCT is not available for such protests on the 1st,” and urging residents to refrain from participating in such activities.
