Published on

Schools planning to present candidates for the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) have been given crucial deadlines to complete their recognition process and submit Continuous Assessment Scores (CASS).

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has set December 13, 2024, as the final date for these essential tasks.

In an official announcement on Tuesday, WAEC revealed that the online portals for school recognition and CASS data upload are now open in preparation for the 2025 WASSCE. This directive was communicated in a statement signed by Mr. A. Adebolu, Head of Exams for the Branch Controller, and was addressed to school principals under the reference number BN/ZC/MOE/15/VOL.2/139.

Key Dates and Instructions:

– The school recognition portal is available from September 2 to December 13, 2024. Schools seeking approval to present candidates for WASSCE 2025 must complete their recognition process within this window.

– Schools are advised to make necessary payments and finalize their applications during this period to avoid any last-minute issues.

– The portal for uploading CASS 1 & 2 data will be open from September 2 to December 20, 2024. All schools must ensure their CASS data is uploaded by this deadline.

WAEC has emphasized the importance of adhering to these deadlines, as the portals will automatically close at midnight on the specified dates. No extensions or late submissions will be accepted once the portals are closed.

Schools are encouraged to act promptly to ensure a smooth registration process for their candidates.
