BUA donates N2bn to Maiduguri flood victims

The Chairman of BUA Group, Alhaji Abdul Samad Rabiu, has pledged a donation of N2 billion to assist victims of the recent floods in Maiduguri and Jere, Borno State.

The announcement was made by the group’s Executive Director, Kabiru Rabiu, who represented the chairman during a sympathy visit to Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, in Maiduguri.

The N2 billion donation includes both cash and essential food items, aimed at providing immediate relief to those affected by the devastating floods.

Governor Zulum expressed his gratitude for the generous donation, noting that it would go a long way in aiding recovery efforts and providing much-needed support to the victims. The contribution from BUA Group is expected to enhance the ongoing relief operations in the state and offer some respite to those affected by the disaster.

“Your Excellency, Alhaji Abdul Samad Rabiu has sent a token of N1billion in cash and N1billion in food items. In addition to that, he is donating five trucks of 900 bags of rice, five trucks of 900 bags of bags of flour and five trucks of 4500 cartons of spaghetti.

“Your Excellency, a lot of properties and lives have been lost to this disaster. We pray to God to have mercy on those who lost their lives and their family the fortitude to bear the loss,” he said.

Responding, Governor Zulum appreciated the business mangul for sympathizing with the state during the difficult time and the huge amount donated to cushion the effect of the disaster. He also promised to utilize the money judiciously.
