Francis Duru, Monalisa Chinda, Others In Cast List Of Stage Play "Nma Oha", To Launch Oct 1

Notable Noooywood stars are in the cast list of the stage play "Nma Oha", a movie that highlights the rich cultural heritage of Ndigbo of South East Nigeria. 

They include, Francis Duru, Monalisa Chinda, Sydney Diala and many more. 

"Nma Oha", which translates "beauty of the people" according to the producers is set to captivate audience with powerful exploration of unity and preservation of the heritage also harps on the need for peaceful co-existence among the country's ethnic divides. 

"This production delves into the traditions, values and narratives of the Igbo people, living together, folklore, music, dance, drama, costume, and many more to create a rich experience for its audience", the Director of the play, Patrick Otoro told a press conference. 

He said through its engaging storyline, the stage play celebrates the unique identity and cultural richness of the Igbo community. 

In her remarks, the CEO, One Percent International, Stephanie Nnadi said solutions to most world problems is in the little telling of story, saying "Nma Oha" stands out as it tells the story of what is happening in the society in most relaxed form for clearer understanding among the audiences. 

Francis Duru in his remarks said the play is beyond entertainment but speaks to history, noting that it speaks to the trajectory of a people who have been mauled down, beaten yet undying. 

Monalisa Chinda while adding her voice said the piece of play aims to promote culture and tradition and look for ways to tell our stories the best way possible. 

The official premiere of the stage play will hold October 1, the country's Independence Day at Transcorp Hilton hotel Abuja. 

Residents of the nation's capital are urged to come out in their large numbers to catch a glimpse of this piece of entertainment.
